Password Recovery in Version 10.09 is Easy
Right click on the Optenet PC icon 
and choose "Optenet PC Web Filter Administration"
Click on "Have you forgotten the password?"
A screen appears with 2 options:
1. Answer your security question and the password will appear immediately on screen.
OR
2. If you have forgotten your security question answer, choose to have the password sent to your email - it will be sent to the same email you chose during the installation.
NOTE: If the password does not appear to arrive to your email within a few minutes, check your spam/junk mail folder.
Upgrading from Optenet PC 9.8 to 10.09
The current version of Optenet PC is 10.09. If you are using a previous version of Optenet PC, your license key will NOT work with version 10.09. For a free upgrade to a new license, write to us at customersupport@optenetpc.com. Include your name and email used to purchase.

Random Password Generator
Use this tool to create a random, secure password. Why create a random password?
1. Save time trying to think up a password that computer users will not be able to guess. Generate a random password. We recommend no less than 4 characters and no more than 6 characters if you are the filter administrator and want to be able to memorize the password. Of course the more characters, the more secure.
2. If you are installing Optenet PC for your own personal protection, you need to set and forget the password. We suggest no fewer than 8 characters. Select the password that is generated, select CNTRL/C (copy), toggle back to the Web Filter Administration or Installation and use CNTRL/V to paste the password in the appropriate fields.
